NEW DELHI: Union environment minister Bhupender Yadav on Tuesday reviewed measures taken to check air pollution in Delhi-NCR and suggested the need for focused interventions to curb stubble burning and vehicular, industrial and dust pollution.During the meeting, he assessed the progress on critical interventions such as the installation and real-time monitoring of Online Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (OCEMS), deployment of Air Pollution Control Devices in key polluting industries, and the execution of an Integrated Waste Management Plan for efficient waste collection and disposal.Underlining the need for a coordinated approach by all agencies to deal with air pollution, the minister emphasised on having an integrated command and control centre for monitoring air pollution control measures by different agencies in Delhi-NCR.He also called on the industry to respond to the need to fight against air pollution, and suggested integration of different apps to facilitate the citizen’s participation in the fight against air pollution.
