NEW DELHI: An elderly couple was found murdered at their residence in east Delhi’s Shahdara in the early hours of Sunday.The deceased were identified as Parvesh Bansal (65), a homemaker, and her husband, Virender Kumar Bansal (75), a retired teacher.Police received a PCR call around 12.30am from the couple’s son, who reported that both his parents were lying unconscious at their home in Ram Nagar Extension and appeared to be dead.On reaching the third-floor house, police found the bodies of Parvesh Bansal and her Virender Kumar Bansal lying in separate rooms. Police said the couple’s son told them that someone killed his parents.A case was registered at MS Park police station. A preliminary examination revealed injury marks on the face of Virender Kumar Bansal.While the exact motive behind the murders is yet to be ascertained, police said a robbery angle cannot be ruled out at this stage.
