CocoonDance Company successfully presented its celebrated contemporary dance work Vis Motrix in Delhi on 7 December at Arthshila Delhi, drawing an engaged audience and strong appreciation for its distinctive choreographic language and powerful stage presence.Vis Motrix—Latin for “driving force”—places instinct, physical urgency and deep internal impulses at the centre of movement. Rejecting codified forms, the piece allows bodies to transform continuously, creating a heightened, almost primal physicality. Performed and created by women-identifying artists, the work also emerges from a feminist creative process that foregrounds agency, intuition and collective authorship.
