Pune: Police in an overnight search operation seized gold and silver jewellery, cash, 16 mobile handsets, and property-related documents, collectively worth over Rs75 lakh, from the houses of arrested gangster Suryakant alias Bandu Andekar and his daughter Vridavani Wadekar. Andekar, his daughter and her two sons were arrested in connection with the revenge murder of Ayush Komkar (18), Andekar’s grandson.The police on Thursday issued a release stating that a team carried out searches from 5pm on Wednesday to 5am on Thursday. The police earlier booked the Andekar gang under MCOCA. Assistant commissioner of police Shankar Khatke was appointed the investigating officer for the MCOCA case.
