Pune: The Pimpri Chinchwad police have started an initiative to let people directly meet the police commissioner and other senior police officers and voice their suggestions, complaints and expectations.The initiative, ‘Meeting the Police Commissioner’, will be held every Monday from 4pm to 6pm at the Pimpri Chinchwad police commissionerate in Premlok Park, Chinchwad.A press release issued by the Pimpri Chinchwad police commissionerate stated that people do not need to take prior appointments to meet the senior police officers on Mondays between 4pm and 6pm. The police started this initiative to strengthen the law and order situation in Pimpri Chinchwad and to expedite the grievance redressal process.Along with the Pimpri Chinchwad police commissioner Vinoy Kumar Choubey, the joint commissioner, additional commissioners and deputy commissioners will be present at the police commissionerate.
