New Delhi: Chief minister Rekha Gupta on Friday inaugurated her new camp office, Jan Seva Sadan, at Raj Niwas Marg in north Delhi’s Civil Lines area.PWD has allotted two adjacent bungalows to CM in the same complex, one to serve as her house and other as office. While the ‘Mukhyamantri Jan Seva Sadan’ will serve as her camp office where CM will meet the people and also have meetings with officials, the bungalow next door will be Gupta’s official residence. The renovation of the second bungalow is ongoing. Talking to reporters after performing a religious ceremony, CM emphasised that commitment towards public service was the “supreme duty” of her govt. “The Jan Seva Sadan will serve as the centre for every citizen’s concern, hope, suggestion, and resolution. The Mukhyamantri Jan Seva Sadan has been set up by Delhi govt with the objective of direct communication with the people, institutionalising public hearings, and ensuring timely redressal of grievances,” Gupta said. This new facility is an extension of the tradition of public participation, transparency, and accountability, built on the foundation of people’s trust, she said. A coordinated system will be implemented under the presence of senior officials to ensure prompt resolution of issues, she stated. “Our aim is to ensure that no resident of Delhi has to run from pillar to post with their problems,” she said.LG VK Saxena, Speaker Vijender Gupta, Delhi ministers, MPs, MLAs, BJP functionaries, and bureaucrats visited the CM’s camp office on Friday.
