CM holds Jan Sunwai for grievance redressal

New Delhi: Chief minister Rekha Gupta on Wednesday held the weekly Jan Sunwai session at the Mukhyamantri Jan Seva Sadan, where she met citizens from across the city and directed officials to ensure prompt resolution of their grievances.CM Gupta said she listened to the concerns of people who came from every corner of the capital. “I listened to their concerns, understood their suggestions and complaints. I have given clear instructions to the officials that all complaints should be resolved within the stipulated time frame. Public dialogue is the soul of good governance. It is through this dialogue that our resolve for ‘good governance’ becomes even stronger,” CM said.During the interaction, the CM personally heard complaints, suggestions and feedback from residents and instructed officials from various departments to take immediate action. “Every complaint must be handled with sensitivity and urgency so that citizens get timely access to their rights and public services,” she said.“Living among the people, understanding their troubles and ensuring immediate action is the essence of the resolve for public service. Your trust is our greatest strength, and with this trust, we are continuously moving forward on the resolve to make Delhi a clean, safe and developed capital.” CM Gupta said.CM said that interacting with the people strengthens democracy and enhances trust in government. “The public hearing is a key step towards building a transparent and participatory governance model, ensuring that citizens’ voices are heard directly and their problems are resolved effectively,” said Gupta.Security at the venue has been significantly tightened after she was attacked during one such hearing in Aug.
