CISF constables injured after scooter hit by speeding car in Hauz Khas

New Delhi: Two CISF constables were injured after their scooter was hit by a speeding car in south Delhi’s Hauz Khas last week.The CISF personnel were identified as Satpal (36) and Ravi Bakoliya (35), from Rajasthan. Satpal, who was the pillion rider, suffered head injuries in the accident. Both of them are residents of Khanpur, Delhi. Constable Bakoliya is posted at RK Puram and had duty at the Parliament from 6:30 am on Jan 2. He was heading to their unit along with Satpal to collect arms and ammunation for their duty. The duo had reached the Munirka-bound corridor above the IIT Flyover around 5:30 am when an allegedly speeding black car hit the scooter from behind, causing them to fall. “The car driver stopped for a moment, looked back and then drove away,” the constable told the cops.One of their colleagues arrived soon after and rushed both of them to AIIMS Trauma Centre. Satpal had sustained head injuries and was unfit for a statement at the time. They are currently recovering from their injuries.A case was registered under sections 281 (rash driving or riding on a public way) and 125 (act endangering life or personal safety of others) of BNS at Hauz Khas police station.
