MUMBAI: Bombay HC Saturday directed its registry to inform whether a petition, challenging deputy CM and urban development minister Eknath Shinde‘s stay on demolition notices to two “illegal” buildings in Vashi is a PIL. Only on Wed, it had asked govt to show Shinde’s authority to grant stay.“The registrar (judicial) shall verify and submit a report whether this matter carries a cause in public interest and whether this petition can be said to be a PIL. Let such a report be tendered within two weeks,” directed Justices Ravindra Ghuge and Ashwin Bhobe. “If he says this matter will lie before this court, we’ll accept the reply,” court said.
