‘Bid to bribe judge’: Court seeks report from CBI

New Delhi: A Delhi court has sought a status report from the CBI on a complaint against an SHO of Delhi Police over allegations of bribing a judge. The complainant, advocate Sensar Pal Singh, sought an FIR alleging that the SHO paid for a sports kit, gym fee and other things for a judicial magistrate at the Saket courts, which amounts to a bribe. Singh also alleged the judge passed biased orders in cases linked to the SHO’s police station. He further claimed the SHO of Hazrat Nizamuddin police station recorded in the general diary (roznamcha) that the judge misbehaved and forced him to cover these expenses. On Sept 12, special judge Atul Krishna Agrawal issued notice to the CBI and asked for a status report. The next hearing is scheduled for Oct 14. TNN
