NEW DELHI: A 13-year-old boy from Afghanistan reached Delhi after he somehow managed to get inside the landing gear compartment of an aircraft.The incident came to light around 11 am on Sunday when Kam Air flight number RQ-4401 reached the Delhi airport after a two-hour journey. The boy, a native of Kunduz city, was found roaming near the flight after it touched down. He was apprehended by the airline personnel and handed over to the Central Industrial SecurityForce personnel for questioning. The boy was repatriated to Afghanistan on the same flight around 12:30 pm on Sunday itself, sources said.The boy claimed that he sneaked into the Kabul airport and got inside the compartment. He said that he did this “out of curiosity”.Security officials of the airline carried out a check and found a small red-coloured speaker, which was apparently carried by the boy. The aircraft was declared safe after a thorough inspection and anti-sabotage checks, they said.
