New Delhi: A fire broke out on the 12th floor of a building housing the Trade and Taxes department at ITO on Thursday morning, damaging official records and equipment. According to a senior Delhi Fire Service (DFS) official, the blaze originated in the section housing the GST audit branch. Several records, documents, computers, electronic equipment and office furniture were destroyed. DFS received a call about the fire at 8.36am, following which eight fire tenders were dispatched. Around 50 firefighters were deployed, and the blaze was brought under control by around 9.10am. No injuries or casualties were reported. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
