New Delhi: Police arrested 3 people, including two main accused, for allegedly setting a Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) bus on fire during unrest that broke out in west Delhi’s Nangloi after a fatal accident earlier this week. The main accused, Navlesh Kumar (45) of West Sagarpur, was identified through CCTV footage allegedly showing him setting the bus ablaze. Two others, Anurag and Deepu, were also arrested, while 4 more suspects were identified, taking the total arrests to 7. The violence erupted on Monday after 2 men died and several others were injured when 2 DTC buses, allegedly trying to overtake each other, were involved in a crash on Najafgarh–Nangloi Road. An angry mob of around 500 people gathered at the spot, vandalised several buses, and assaulted drivers.
