Pune: A 52-year-old woman died after a scooter rammed into the motorcycle on which she was riding pillion at Indori village in Maval taluka on Friday night. The Talegaon MIDC police identified the deceased as Muktabai Ghardale (52) of Kharabwadi in Khed taluka.
Her nephew, who was riding the motorcycle, lodged a complaint against an unidentified scooter rider on Saturday. According to police, the duo was travelling towards Kharabwadi along the Talegaon-Chakan Road around 9.15pm when a scooter coming from the opposite direction crashed into them. Ghardale fell off the bike and suffered serious injuries. She was rushed to a nearby hospital but died during treatment. Police are searching for the scooter rider. TNN
