New Delhi: In the first month of 2026, Delhi Police secured the top position among all states and Union territories on the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems (CCTNS) Pragati dashboard. The dashboard is monitored by the ministry of home affairs and the National Crime Records Bureau. It evaluates states and Union territories on the quality, quantity, timeliness and accuracy of data uploaded to national platforms under CCTNS and the Inter-Operable Criminal Justice System (ICJS).CCTNS is a nationwide e-governance project that connects police stations through a common digital platform. Implemented by the National Crime Records Bureau, it enables online registration of FIRs, tracking of cases and sharing of data among states under the ICJS framework. The ranking is based on 15 performance indicators, including connectivity of police stations, establishment of disaster recovery centres, data migration, synchronisation at state and national data centres, electronic submission of FIRs to courts, citizen services through state portals, and regular ICJS review meetings.Last year too, Delhi police secured the first position with a 100% score for Oct, Nov and Dec. Special commissioner of police (crime) Devesh Chandra Srivastva said, “This has been possible due to continuous monitoring of data quality and compliance, real-time coordination with districts and police stations, timely resolution of technical and procedural challenges, and regular guidance and capacity-building of field units. The efforts of all police districts have been equally instrumental, with officers ensuring strict adherence to timelines, prompt and accurate updating of investigation records, effective digitisation of data, and close coordination with supervisory and technical teams.“Delhi Police also participated in the 44th All India Police Equestrian Competition and Mounted Police Duty Meet held at the Border Security Force Academy, winning one gold, two silver and one bronze medal in show jumping events.
