BMC demolishes illegal structures and unauthorised stalls in Borivli and Kandivli

Mumbai: A total of 25 illegal structures and 35 unauthorised stalls in the Mahavir Nagar area of Borivali (West) and Kandivali (West) were demolished on Friday, February 20, by the civic ‘R/Central’ ward of the BMC.Officers and staff from the Vigilance, Encroachment Removal, Building and Factories, and Solid Waste Management departments jointly carried out the operation. Around 50 officers, along with 3 JCB machines and 5 dumpers, as well as adequate police security, were deployed during the operation.

The municipal administration stated that such removal drives against illegal constructions and unauthorised hawkers will continue in the coming days as well.
