
Yash in the teaser

The much-awaited teaser for Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is out. The film, starring Yash and directed by Geetu Mohandas, is set to hit the screens on March 19, 2025, clashing at the box office with the hyped sequel, Dhurandhar 2. Toxic is produced by KVN Productions, the banner behind the controversial Tamil movie, Jana Nayagan.
The teaser gives a short glimpse into the high-octane world of the film. It opens with a voice proclaiming, “This war will be different.” There are a quick set of visuals of a Royale Circus taking place which are juxtaposed alongside extreme close-ups of Yash, who plays Raya. The voiceover says, “You can’t go against the world and survive. Give up, Raya.”
Another set of action-heavy images follow after which Yash makes a grand entry as he rises from a bathtub and is seen brutally thrashing a man on the head. “It’s over when I say it’s over,” he says. There are explosions, gunshots, bodies getting slashed and goons getting beaten up. The teaser ends with a violent sequence as a man is seen killing another with a saw.
In Toxic, Yash returns to the big screen after four years. The actor has co-produced the action drama under his banner Monstermind Creations. Yash was last seen in KGF: Chapter 2, which released on April 14, 2022. Directed by Prashant Neel, the period action drama was a massive blockbuster.

Yash has co-written Toxic with Geetu. Later in 2026, Yash will also be seen in the epic drama Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari. Yash’s banner, Monstermind Creations, is co-producing the movie with Namit Malhotra of Prime Focus Limited. Ranbir Kapoor plays Ram and Sai Pallavi essays Sita in the movie. Yash will appear as Ravan.
In Toxic, JJ Perry of John Wick and Fast & Furious famehas done the action choreography. Anbariv & Kecha Khamphakdee have also worked on the stunts in the movie. The film will have music from Ravi Basrur of KGF and Salaar fame. Acclaimed cinematographer Rajeev Ravi has handled the camera for the movie. Ujwal Kulkarni of KGF fame is the editor.
Toxic also stars Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi,Rukmini Vasanth and Tara Sutaria. The first-look posters of these actors have generated enough buzz around the movie.

Speculations were rife that Toxic might get postponed to avoid a head-on clash with Dhurandhar 2 at the box office. Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar and starring Ranveer Singh, was the biggest blockbuster of 2025. The spy drama’s sequel carries immense hype. However, the makers of Toxic have maintained that there will not be a change in the release date of the movie.
