New Delhi: CBI arrested an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) of Delhi Police posted at CR Park police station for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 10 lakh from a complainant. A case was registered on Feb 10 after allegations surfaced that the ASI demanded illegal gratification of Rs 25 lakh to settle a property dispute. In return, the officer allegedly assured the complainant that no legal action would be taken in the matter. Following the complaint, the CBI laid a trap and apprehended the accused ASI while allegedly accepting Rs 10 lakh as part payment of the total bribe amount. The officer was arrested. TNN
