Pune: The Yerawada police re-arrested the POCSO Act suspect, who fled from the lock-up of Yerawada police station on Sunday night. After fleeing from the lock-up, he went to Yerawada, from where he was re-arrested within a few hours.Yerawada police arrested Shailesh Mohite (20) of Laxminagar on Jan 28 for sexually harassing a minor girl. He was lodged in the police station lock-up.
Around 9.30pm on Sunday, Mohite demanded a bedsheet from the police constable on guard duty. The police constable moved away to fetch the bedsheet, and Mohite entered the adjoining room. He spotted the glass window ajar, and he jumped off through the window.Senior inspector Anjum Bagwan of Yerawada police told TOI, “After fleeing, Mohite kept roaming in Yerawada, and our team received information about him, and we nabbed him within 3 hours.”
