Pune: The Yewalewadi police have registered a case against an autorickshaw driver (30) on the charge of molesting an 11-year-old girl near her house, off Katraj-Kondhwa Road, around 4pm on Wednesday.The girl’s mother lodged a complaint after the minor narrated the incident to her. “We have tracked the suspect’s location, and will arrest him soon,” an officer from the Yewalewadi police said. 
A case has been registered under sections 8 and 12 of the POCSO Act and sections 74 and 78 of the BNS related to sexual assault, harassment and stalking. The police said the girl’s father was in Nashik for professional commitments and her mother was at home when she was molested while playing in an open area near her house. The suspect stays opposite to the girl’s house.According to the complaint, the suspect approached the girl and forced her into an embrace. She managed to get rid of him, ran home and narrated the incident to her mother.
