TVS Motor Company is planning to expand its electric two-wheeler portfolio, with the design of its first electric bike now patented in the country. The motorcycle, called the eFX 3O, was first shown as a concept at EICMA 2025. Now, the company has filed its design patent in India, hinting at its arrival. Here’s a quick look at what we can expect from the model.
TVS’ first electric motorcycle: All you need to know
From the image, it is clear that TVS will be positioning the eFX 3O very differently from its existing commuter-focused EVs. The electric motorcycle looks much sportier and has a more aggressive character. The overall silhouette looks like a streetfighter-style design, with a forward-leaning stance, a bulky front section and a sharp, minimalist tail. The model showcased last year was finished in a matte grey shade with a contrasting yellow stripe. It has an angular, fuel-tank like muscular housing that will likely be used for electronic components such as the control unit and charging hardware. Besides that, the large battery casing features horizontal cooling fins. There’s also a mid-mounted motor sitting low in the frame. Other details that can be identified include USD front forks, a sturdy swingarm and monoshock suspension. Braking duties appear to be handled by petal discs at both ends.
On the technology front, the patent images reveal a compact rectangular TFT display mounted above the handlebars. While TVS has not confirmed features, it is expected to offer essentials such as Bluetooth connectivity, navigation support and multiple ride modes. At this stage, TVS has not revealed any technical specifications related to power output, battery capacity or real-world range. However, with the design now patented in India and the concept already showcased internationally, the eFX 3O appears to be a strong indication of TVS’ plans to enter the electric motorcycle segment.
