The accused, Amol Wagh (30), of Yelwadi, was charged under Section 103 (murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Senior police inspector Vijay Dhamal of the South Mahalunge MIDC police said the accused and the victims worked as drivers with a transport operator and were known to each other. Wagh and Pawar had a dispute over some issue. On Thursday night, Pawar, Dhaktode and one more friend went to Yelwadi to settle the issue between the friends. “During the talks, Pawar and Wagh began arguing with each other. Furious by this, Wagh tried to attack Pawar with a sharp knife. When Dhaktode attempted to stop him, Wagh stabbed Dhaktode,” the officer said. He said Wagh also stabbed Pawar and fled from there. The two injured were taken to a nearby hospital, where Dhaktode succumbed to his injuries. “We arrested Wagh. Our investigations are on,” he said.
