New Delhi: A 21-year-old man was stabbed to death, and two others were critically injured in southeast Delhi’s Jaitpur on Thursday night following a violent clash that police said stemmed from a personal dispute between two groups. Three were arrested and five juveniles apprehended for the crime. Police received a PCR call at 11.18pm from Dharamshala Road in Jaitpur. Upon reaching a police team found three injured men and shifted them to hospital. The deceased was identified as Krishna Sahu (21), who suffered multiple stab injuries to his chest, shoulder and back. He was taken to the AIIMS Trauma Centre, where he was declared ‘brought dead’. Two others, Sunny (21) and Prince (19) were also injured. Sunny sustained stab wounds to the abdomen and thigh and was undergoing treatment; Prince also suffered stab injuries and is undergoing treatment. Preliminary inquiry revealed that the clash triggered by a personal dispute between the two groups involving a mutual acquaintance. “The main suspect, Deepak Kumar (22), harassed Prince on social media for some time prior to the incident. On Thursday, the two sides agreed to meet around 11pm on the pretext of resolving the matter,” a senior officer said. A verbal altercation broke out during the meeting, quickly escalating into a physical assault. The accused allegedly attacked the victims with knives before fleeing. Based on analysis of CCTV footage from nearby locations, police arrested Deepak, Aashish (24), a graphic designer who was identified by witnesses as one of the individuals wielding a sharp-edged weapon, and Neeraj Kumar, who led the group to gather at a point.
