Auspicious wedding and housewarming dates return from February 5, 2026.
Makar Sankranti marks the moment when the Sun transits into Capricorn (Makara Rashi) from Sagittarius. With this transition, the inauspicious period of Kharmas comes to an end, allowing all auspicious activities to resume.
Once Kharmas concludes, ceremonies such as weddings, mundan (tonsure), and housewarming rituals are considered favourable again.
When Will Kharmas Begin Again?
Kharmas will recommence with Meen Sankranti, when the Sun enters Pisces (Meen Rashi). According to astrological calculations, the Sun will move into Pisces on March 15 at 01:08 AM, marking the start of Kharmas once more.
