New Delhi: Singer Prashant Tamang was found dead on Sunday .Delhi Police, however, ruled out any foul play in his death. Tamang (43) lived with his family in Raghu Nagar. Police said they received information around 3.10 pm from a hospital in west Delhi’s Janakpuri regarding his death.“He was the winner of Indian Idol Season 3 and was also part of the web series Paatal Lok 2,” said DCP (South West) Amit Goel.According to police, Tamang’s wife rushed him to a hospital in west Delhi’s Janakpuri after noticing that he was unresponsive and not waking up. However, upon examination, doctors declared him brought dead. Police said his family stated that they had no suspicion or doubt regarding the circumstances surrounding his death and did not allege any foul play.“They stated that Tamang slept well at night but did not wake up in the morning,” the DCP said.A post-mortem examination of the body is being conducted at Deen Dayal Upadhyay (DDU) Hospital to ascertain the exact cause of death.
