New Delhi: Delhi Police arrested two shop helpers in separate incidents for allegedly stealing from their employers. In the first case, police arrested a 21-year-old man identified as Munna Kumar from Shimla. He allegedly siphoned off more than Rs 3.2 lakh from his employer’s bank account in southwest Delhi’s Dwarka. In a separate incident in northwest Delhi, police arrested a 19-year-old helper named Mahesh Varma for allegedly stealing Rs 5 lakh in cash from his employer’s shop at NS Mandi. Police said the theft took place on Dec 10, when Mahesh allegedly stole the cash kept in the basement of the shop Sand fled. Varma was arrested from Adarsh Nagar area, and Rs 1 lakh in cash and a gold earring were recovered. TNN
