MUMBAI: The returning officer has asked BJP politician Kirit Somaiya to submit a sworn affidavit in support of his complaint against Shiv Sena (UBT) candidate in the BMC election and former mayor Kishori Pednekar for further action.Earlier, in his complaint to the returning officer, Somaiya alleged that Pednekar had furnished false information in her election affidavit. He cited an FIR registered in connection with the alleged Covid-19 body bag scam, in which Pednekar was named, as well as an alleged SRA scam, as grounds for his complaint.
