South Delhi road mishap: 2 dead in car-taxi collision near Siri Fort

NEW DELHI: Two people were killed and another critically injured after a car collision near Siri Fort in south Delhi early Wednesday, police said.A PCR call was received around 4.20 am reporting a crash on August Kranti Marg. Police said a car travelling from Panchsheel Flyover towards Andrews Ganj allegedly rammed into a taxi that was taking a right turn towards Balbir Saxena Marg.The taxi had three occupants, all of whom were rushed to the AIIMS Trauma Centre as unidentified persons. Doctors declared two of them brought dead, while the third remains in critical condition and is undergoing treatment. Post-mortem examinations of the deceased are being conducted.The driver of the offending vehicle, identified as Krishansh Kapoor (21), a resident of Udai Park, has been apprehended. Police said a case has been registered under the relevant sections of law.
