PUNE: The state transport department has so far received nearly 1 crore applications for affixing High Security Registration Plates (HSRP) in vehicles registered before April 2019 across MMR and the rest of the state.While over 73 lakh vehicles have now been fitted with the new special registration number plates, the remaining are expected to be completed in the coming weeks.The initial deadline for affixing HSRPs was March 31, 2025, and after extensions, the final deadline was fixed for Dec 31, 2025. Since there is no word on any further extension of the deadline, the RTOs will soon begin enforcement to ensure early compliance.HSRP Applications in 2025
