Adivi Sesh, Mrunal Thakur’s ‘Dacoit’ teaser hints at a fun outing

The teaser of Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur starrer Dacoit, directed by cinematographer-turned-director Shaneil Deo springs a surprise with its use of the peppy Telugu song ‘Kannepettaro Kannu Kottaro’ from the 1990s Nagarjuna and Soundarya film Hello Brother, playing against the racy visuals of the two lead characters unleashing mayhem.

Dacoit marks Adivi Sesh’s collaboration with Shaneil Deo after films such as Kshanam and Goodachari. Here, they share the credits for story and screenplay, while Abburi Ravi has penned the Telugu dialogues and is credited for his script guidance. 

The crime romance drama has Anurag Kashyap as the antagonist, and also stars Prakash Raj, Sunil, Atul Kulkarni, Zayn Marie Khan, and Kamakshi Bhaskarla.

Produced by Supriya Yarlagadda for SS Creations and Suniel Narang, Dacoit has cinematography by Danush Bhaskar, music by Bheems Ceciroleo and is edited by Kodati Pavan Kalyan.

Scheduled to release on March 19, 2026, in time for Ugadi, Gudi Padwa and Eid celebrations, Dacoit will be released both in Telugu and Hindi.
