Sriram Raghavan’s war-drama Ikkis, which was earlier set to clash with Kartik Aaryan’s Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri on December 25, will now release in theatres on January 1.
The makers made the announcement of its new release date on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 through a press release that read, “Carrying the spirit of brave storytelling into the New Year, Ikkis will now release in cinemas on 1st January 2026. Producer Dinesh Vijan continues his proven strategy of choosing clarity over clashes — a move that earlier worked strongly in favour of Hindi Medium and Chhaava, both of which benefitted from a clear theatrical run.”
Ikkis tells a true story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, India’s youngest Param Vir Chakra awardee. It stars Agastya Nanda, Jaideep Ahlawat, Dharmendra, Sikandar Kher and debutante Simar Bhatia.
The film marks a significant shift for Raghavan, whose work has long been defined by noir thrillers and crime dramas. For Agastya, grandson of Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, Ikkis marks his theatrical debut after he made his streaming debut with The Archies in 2023.
Meanwhile, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri also stars Ananya Panday and has been directed by Sameer Vidwans. It will be released in theatres as scheduled on December 25.
