NEW DELHI: Five days after a man allegedly strangled his live-in partner to death in southwest Delhi’s Chhawla, his wife and brother-in-law have been arrested in connection with the murder.The deceased had been identified as a 35-year-old woman from Deenpur Extension in Najafgarh.
The main accused had been identified as Virender Singh, a transport businessman. Police had found that he had been married to another woman with two children. He was arrested and a case was registered.Police had earlier said that Singh had attempted to dispose of the body but left it in his car before returning to sleep. It was discovered the next day by a neighbour.He had called his wife, Poonam (31), a resident of Dichau Kalan village and his brother-in-law, Chetan (21), a resident of Haryana’s Charkhi Dadri district, to the spot after the incident, said a police officer.Both have been arrested. Police are investigating their involvement in the murder.
