NEW DELHI: A head constable in the CISF has been arrested for allegedly shooting a 17-year-old boy during a wedding function in Shahdara’s MS Park area. The deceased was identified as a resident of New Modern Shahdara.Police received information through a public person on Saturday stating that a child was shot near the Community Centre in DDA Market. The team found that the boy sustained a gunshot injury during a wedding function (barat) happening in front of the Community Centre. He was rushed to a hospital, where he was declared brought dead.The accused was subsequently identified as a head constable in the CISF, who is currently posted in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. He was arrested. Initial probe revealed that the incident was caused by a sudden altercation on the spot.
