New Delhi: Jawaharlal Nehru University has opened the second phase of its PhD admissions for the 2025–26 academic year, as part of the newly introduced dual admission cycle. This is the first time the university is holding PhD admissions twice in an academic year, a model already implemented by several central universities under the national admission reform framework.Applications for Phase II started on Tuesday and will continue till Dec 3 (11.50 pm), with a correction window scheduled for Dec 4 and 5. Candidates shortlisted will receive viva-voce invitations by Dec 13, and interviews are tentatively scheduled from Dec 19 to 23.The first merit list is expected on Jan 2, 2026, followed by fee payment and seat blocking till Jan 4 and physical verification on Jan 8 and 9. The second list will be published on Jan 16, with registration between Jan 16 and 18 and verification on Jan 22.If required, a third and final list will be released on Jan 29, with registration closing on Jan 31 and verification on Feb 5. The final deadline for all admissions is Feb 10, 2026.
