Mumbai: Between Jan 1 and Nov 17 this year, police registered 401 criminal cases against illegal Bangladeshi immigrants staying in the city and deported 1,001 Bangladeshis. The special branch (SB) of the Mumbai police also played an active role in collecting intelligence about the illegal Bangladeshi immigrants.
