Disney has unveiled the first teaser trailer for The Devil Wears Prada 2, the long-awaited sequel to the 2006 fashion-world comedy that became a modern classic. Reuniting Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway as the formidable Miranda Priestly and her former assistant Andy Sachs, the film is set to hit theatres in summer 2026.

The minute-long teaser offers a glimpse at how the world and Miranda’s empire have changed. The once all-powerful editor-in-chief of Runway, now faces the collapse of print media and must navigate an industry transformed by digital influencers and shrinking ad budgets. To stay afloat, she’s forced to collaborate with her ex-assistant Emily (Emily Blunt), now the head of a global luxury brand.
Director David Frankel, who helmed the original film, returns for the sequel, which also sees Stanley Tucci reprise his beloved role as Nigel. Kenneth Branagh joins the cast as Priestly’s new husband, alongside newcomers Simone Ashley, Rachel Bloom, and Lucy Liu. Lady Gaga and Sydney Sweeney are also set to make cameo appearances.
“The first film became an unexpected cultural touchstone,” Blunt said earlier this year. “It’s surreal to return to these characters who shaped our lives, and wardrobes, in so many ways.”

The sequel’s filming has already sparked fan frenzy, with set photos emerging from Milan and New York.
The original The Devil Wears Prada, based on Lauren Weisberger’s best-selling novel, earned more than $326 million worldwide and an Oscar nomination for Streep.
