Pune: A 37-year-old property dealer from Wadmukhwadi was shot dead by his two friends inside an SUV in Charholi on Wednesday evening.Police have identified the deceased as Nitin Gilbile of Wadmukhwadi. They have also ascertained the identities of the two assailants, and a search is on for them.A case of murder was registered with the Dighi police.DCP (crime) Shivaji Pawar told TOI that Gilbile and the two assailants were friends. “On Wednesday, they reached the Alankapuram area in Charholi in a black SUV. The trio may have had heated arguments over some issue, following which the duo shot him in the head inside the vehicle. They then abandoned the body and left the spot,” Pawar said.The officer said the reason behind the murder was still unknown. “Prima facie, it appears the murder was the fallout of a dispute between the friends,” he said.Police have formed teams to trace the duo.
