Oil pipeline leak halts train ops

Navi Mumbai: Kharkopar-Uran suburban train services were suspended for over three hours on Wednesday after a leak was spotted in a petroleum pipeline running parallel to the tracks. Swapnil Nila, CR’s chief PRO, said power supply to overhead equipment providing traction power to trains was cut after the leak was spotted. “After the petroleum company plugged the leakage, train services resumed.” —George Mendonca
