New Delhi: A 37-year-old man was arrested for allegedly harassing his former colleague online after she asked him to return the money he owed her. The accused was identified as Mohammad Sahid. Deputy commissioner of police (Southwest) Amit Goel said that a complaint was received on Sept 23, claiming that an unidentified person created a fake social media account using the complainant’s photograph as the profile picture. The account was allegedly used to post derogatory content, send follow requests to her friends in an attempt to harras and ruin her reputation.During the probe, police found that the account was active in Manesar. A raid was conducted, leading to Sahid’s arrest. He confessed that the complainant was his former colleague who demanded the repayment of money. Annoyed by her demand, Sahid created the fake social media profile. tnn
