New Delhi: A 19-year-old youth was chased and fatally stabbed in northeast Delhi’s Seelampur area allegedly by a relative and his two sons, one of whom is a minor. The victim’s family alleged that the attack was linked to a suspected affair with the relative’s daughter.Police received a PCR call at 10.39 pm on Tuesday reporting a stabbing incident in Tyre Wali Gali. “Upon reaching the spot, team found that the injured victim had already been taken to the hospital by parents, but the doctors declared him dead on arrival,” police said. The crime and forensic teams inspected the scene, and a case of murder was registered.The deceased worked in a factory stitching seat covers, the same trade as his father. Preliminary investigations revealed that he had been involved in an ongoing dispute with a relative who, along with his two sons, allegedly carried out the fatal attack. All three suspects have been apprehended.The victim’s uncle recounted the chilling series of events that culminated in the young man’s death. On June 7, the girl’s father—also the victim’s relative—allegedly saw the teenager and his daughter communicating through hand gestures on the street. This seemingly harmless interaction reportedly enraged the father, who suspected a romantic relationship and responded with a violent physical assault.Fearing further violence, the victim’s family decided to send him away from the area in hopes of defusing the situation. However, the sense of safety proved short-lived.On Wednesday, the teenager reportedly contacted his relatives, asking them to bring him some clothes. Somehow, the accused trio—the relative and his two sons—became aware of his location.According to police, the assailants then allegedly tracked down the young man. Despite his desperate attempt to seek refuge in a nearby home, they pursued him inside, cornering him. There, they surrounded him and unleashed a relentless knife attack, leaving him with fatal wounds. “We were informed by someone that my nephew had been attacked,” the relative told reporters, visibly shaken.The deceased’s father told the media that the family had previously attempted to resolve the growing tensions with their relative. However, these efforts were reportedly met with a chilling threat—the uncle allegedly warned that he would kill the young man. Recalling the tragic aftermath, the father said when he rushed to save his son, he saw one of the attackers near the house. “When I entered, there was blood everywhere. I found my son lying in a pool of blood,” he recounted.
