Idea of India Foundation's intellectual conclave to 'heal India' through Prophetic message of peace and compassion

MUMBAI: The Idea of India (IOI) Foundation has announced the “Seerah Conclave 2025”, an intellectual and cultural gathering to be held in Mumbai on November 22 under the theme “Revisiting the Prophetic Way to Heal Today’s India.” The Conclave is being held at Anjuman-i-Islam Kalsekar Technical Campus, Panvel, Near Navi Mumbai International Airport. Organized by the Idea of India (IOI) Foundation, in collaboration with a distinguished consortium of institutions, including Anjuman-i-Islam Group of Institutions, Islam Gymkhana, Iqra International Educational Foundation, Iqra Integral Women’s Alliance (IIWA), WorldHub City, GlobalPact Group and RoziHub, the conclave aims to explore how the timeless life and moral teachings of Prophet Muhammad can offer pathways of peace, justice and compassion in a rapidly changing world. It represents a collective effort to revive the Prophetic model as a living framework for civic renewal, social harmony, and ethical leadership in the 21st century. Seerah means life of Prophet Muhammad. The Seerah Conclave 2025 stands as a moral and intellectual alliance for constructive dialogue, faith-inspired education, and community engagement. Together, these partners represent a shared vision of national healing and the pursuit of human dignity through compassion, conscience, and knowledge.Speaking about the conclave, Umar Siddiqui, founder and president of the Idea of India (IOI) Foundation, said: “The Seerah Conclave and Awards are a humble attempt to reconnect our national conscience with the universal message of the Prophet—one that calls for compassion, justice and wisdom. The life of Prophet Muhammad is not confined to faith; it is a livingguide to ethical governance, civic responsibility, and moral courage. India’s healing must begin with rediscovering this shared moral ground.”The Conclave will open with addresses by eminent national figures such as Lt. Gen (Retd) Zameeruddin Shah, former Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University, Padmashri Dr. Zahir I. Kazi, President of the Anjuman-e-Islam Group of Institutions, Tushar Gandhi, activist and great grandson of Mahatma Gandhi, Hazrat Maulana Bilal Hasani Nadwi, Chancellor of Darul Uloom Nadwatul Ulama and Salman Khurshid, Senior Advocate at the Supreme Court and former minister of External Affairs, who will also serve as the Chief Guest. Their reflections will set the tone for an event designed not merely as a religious or academic symposium, but as a space for the rediscovery of universal human values that transcend creed and culture.Throughout the day, the Conclave will convene leading academics, policymakers, jurists, journalists and spiritual leaders to deliberate on themes such as leadership, education, gender justice, interfaith coexistence, and the ethical responsibilities of media and governance. Distinguished speakers include Dr. P. S. Pasricha, former Director General of Police, Maharashtra, Mohammad Adeeb, former Rajya Sabha member, Prof. Faizan Mustafa, Vice Chancellor of National Law University, Patna, Dr. Ram Puniyani, noted author and human rights activist, Syed Saadatullah Hussaini, President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Dr. Uzma Naheed, Islamic scholar and educationist and Mohammad Azharuddin, former Indian Cricket Captain and cabinet minister, Telangana government, among many others.The programme will also feature an Interfaith Harmony Session, bringing together representatives from diverse faith traditions—Christian, Hindu, Jain, and Islamic—to reflect on the Prophet’s universal message of mercy, justice, and coexistence. Among the participants are Dr J Ravikumar Stephen, presiding bishop of The Episcopal Church, Dr. Keshavanand Das (ISKCON), Dr. Kalbe Rushaid Rizvi and Swami Devendra Brahmachari, renowned Jain spiritual leader who will engage in a shared dialogue on faith and human values. The day will also have cultural performances, youth interactions with Sana Khan & Mufti Anas, and the Seerah Art and Calligraphy Exhibition, showcasing rare manuscripts, visual art and VR installations under the title “Moments from the Life of Prophet Muhammad.In conjunction with the Conclave, the Idea of India Foundation will also launch the inaugural Seerah Awards 2025 under the theme “Where Conscience Meets Courage. Where Service Becomes Legacy.” These awards will honour individuals and institutions whose work embodies the Prophetic principles of integrity, courage, compassion and public service. The Idea of India Foundation is a non-partisan civic platform committed to promoting dialogue, scholarship, and ethical leadership rooted in universal values of justice, peace and compassion.
