Palghar: Residents of a building in Palghar district were allegedly locked inside their flats by the deputy sarpanch and two other office-bearers of a local panchayat in a dispute over a drainage project, police said on Saturday. One of the occupants of the building alleged that the residents were locked inside on Monday. Other neighbours later intervened and brought them out, he said. Inspector Avinash Mandle said, “If a case is established, an FIR will be registered and strict action taken.”
