New Delhi: MCD has released bonuses worth Rs 48.7 crore for its employees, mayor Raja Iqbal Singh said on Tuesday. He said the disbursement covers the 2024–25 fiscal year and was completed before the festival to ensure timely benefits to employees. “For the first time in MCD’s history, the finance department has implemented an online bonus bill generation and disbursement system through its pay module,” Singh added. The corporation added that the module enables automatic crediting of bonuses into employees’ accounts, streamlining what was a time-consuming manual process. It also offers features for easy retrieval of bills and simplified record maintenance. TNN
