Navi Mumbai: People protesting against the Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilisers (RCF) project lit up vehicle tyres opposite the RCF-Thal unit, Alibag on Wednesday, under the leadership of local Shiv Sena MLA, Mahendra Dalvi. The RCF project affected persons (PAP) have been demanding jobs and asking to control pollution and release of waste water to the sea causing loss to the fishing community. Due to the protest, the Alibag-Mandva road remained shut for hours.
