Motion Education felicitated over 400 teachers in Pune with the ‘Shikshan Ratna Puraskar,’ recognizing their dedication to shaping young minds

PUNE: More than 400 teachers from various schools and colleges in the city were felicitated on Sunday with the ‘Shikshan Ratna Puraskar’, recognising their dedication to shaping young minds and guiding society. Each awardee received a memento and a certificate of appreciation. The felicitation was organised in Viman Nagar by Motion Education to honour the tireless work and invaluable contribution of teachers.Presenting the awards, educationist Nitin Vijay described teachers as an inexhaustible source of inspiration and energy. He stressed that advanced teaching methods will become essential in the near future and encouraged educators to remain lifelong learners. “If one continues to remain a student throughout life, they will keep reaching greater heights. Education is the only force that can elevate an individual to the highest position,” he said.The event also highlighted the vital role teachers play beyond classrooms. Speakers noted that teachers not only nurture students but also help give direction to the nation and the world. “Teachers are the only class of people who selflessly guide without expecting anything in return,” said Jagdish Mulik, former MLA from Wadgaon Sheri.Many teachers shared their emotions on being recognised. Anita Deshmukh, a secondary school teacher, said, “Most of the time, we quietly do our duty without expecting anything. This award makes me feel seen and valued.” College lecturer Prakash Jadhav added, “This honour is not just for me but for every teacher who works late nights preparing lessons or supporting students in need.” Primary teacher Sunita Pawar said, “It feels wonderful to know that our efforts are respected. This motivates us to keep giving our best.”The ‘Shikshan Ratna Puraskar’ event created a vibrant atmosphere of respect and gratitude, reaffirming the belief that teachers remain the backbone of social progress and nation-building, said Nitin Bhujbal, organiser of the event.
