It’s a victory of ‘nation first’ ideology: Shah

New Delhi: Soon after Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) won three of the four central panel posts in the Delhi University Students’ Union (Dusu) elections, a flurry of congratulatory messages poured in from several leaders of BJP.Union home minister Amit Shah described ABVP’s triumph as a resounding expression of the youth’s trust in the principle of putting the nation above all. “This victory is a reflection of the unwavering faith of the youth in the ‘nation first’ ideology. This triumph will further accelerate the journey of transforming the union’s student power into national power,” he wrote on X.Chief minister Rekha Gupta also congratulated the student leaders, reminding them of their responsibility. At the ‘Viksit Bharat Ke Rang, Kala Ke Sang’ event, she said, “This victory is not just of an organisation, but of every youth who considers patriotism, discipline, service and struggle as the guiding path of their life.”Speaking of her own journey as a former student leader, Gupta said: “I am proud that I, too, lived and learned these values as the president of DUSU. This result shows that the youth of Delhi remain steadfast on the path of knowledge, humility and unity, a path that ABVP established decades ago.” BJP national president J P Nadda applauded the outfit’s victory. He wrote on X that ABVP, guided by the ideals of Swami Vivekananda, has consistently inspired students with its spirit of nationalism and selfless service. Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan joined in the chorus and also stressed on the message of “national interest above everything else”.
