‘KH 237’: Kamal Haasan’s next, directed by action choreographers Anbariv, launched

In an unexpected announcement, Kamal Haasan’s production banner Raaj Kamal Films International on Friday (September 12) siad that the veteran actor’s next film, KH 237, has gone on floors. With a script written by acclaimed Malayalam screenwriter Syam Pushkaran, the film marks the directorial debut of popular stunt choreographers Anbariv.

RKFI shared a picture of Kamal with the directors and the writer on its X handle to announce the news.

KH 237 was announced in December last year, but the recent development comes as a surprise since Kamal had recently confirmed that he will be teaming up with superstar Rajinikanth in their next, an on screen reunion after 46 years.

It remains unknown if this is the film that also stars Rajinikanth. Earlier, speculations were rife that the Kamal-Rajini film would be directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, who helmed Rajini in his latest film Coolie and Kamal in 2022’s Vikram. Netizens had also speculated that Kaithi 2, Lokesh’s film with Karthi, has been postponed owing to this project. The fates of Kaithi 2 and the Kamal-Rajini project are unknown at the moment.

Meanwhile, Anbariv had previously worked with Kamal in Vikram,Indian 2,Thug Lifeand Kalki 2898 AD. R Mahendran produces KH 237 along with Kamal Haasan.
