NEW DELHI: Delhi Police have arrested a cab driver accused of masturbating while driving with a female student as a passenger, officials said on Wednesday. The incident took place in Maurice Nagar. Police identified the accused as Lom Shanka. The arrest followed a complaint filed by the student, and the cab has since been seized. In a separate case, another woman reported that she was harassed by a passerby while waiting for a cab near Rajiv Chowk on 2 August. The woman said the man allegedly unzipped his trousers and began masturbating in front of her. A video she recorded of the incident later went viral. Police registered a case at Civil Lines police station and arrested the man. “We have taken suo motu cognisance and registered a complaint,” police spokesperson ASI Sandeep Kumar said. “The woman has also been called to join the investigation. Probe is underway to identify the accused.”
