New Delhi: Delhi Police ordered an inquiry into the high-profile theft that rocked the special cell, with cash and jewellery worth crores going missing from its police station in Lodhi Colony. A former cell member, Khursheed, was arrested.The inquiry by an additional CP-rank officer aims to establish negligence at different levels and will record the statements of supervisory officers. “The inquiry will ascertain if the records of cash in maalkhana were updated daily and how many instances of theft occurred. Currently, there are three instances,” said an officer. The team is also looking at the possibility of involvement of other cops. tnn
