Mumbai: Woman dies after coming under BEST bus rear tyre near Malabar Hill
In Malabar Hill, a 75-year-old woman, Neeta Shah, tragically died after coming into contact with the rear tyre of a BEST bus on route 105. The incident occurred near the Sahyadri guest house when the driver heard a sound and discovered the injured pedestrian.

MUMBAI: An elderly woman died in Malabar Hill on Tuesday morning after coming into contact with the rear tyre of a BEST bus. A BEST official said, “The bus on route 105 was proceeding to Kamala Nehru Park from Vijay Vallabh Chowk at about 9:10 am. Upon arrival near the Sahyadri guest house, the driver suddenly heard a sound. He came out of the bus and saw that a pedestrian lady had come into contact with the bus’s left side rear tyre and sustained a serious head injury. Additionally, a car parked on the left side of the road was damaged.” Police present at the scene immediately rushed her to J. J. Hospital. However, the on-duty doctor declared her dead before admission at 10:37 am, the official added. The deceased was identified as Neeta Shah (75 years), the official said.
